Hello Readers and welcome to my Spiritual book corner.  The next book I have for you is One of the writings of JIDDU KRISHNAMURTI....

Krishnamurti, 1895-1986, was a writer and speaker of Philosophical and spiritual subjects.utIn this book he expounds on various topics such as Creative Happiness,The Fear of Death,The Purpose of Life, Contentment, Envy and Loneliness, and much more.

He was born in India, and was taken under the wing of  theosophist Charles Webster Leadbeater, and Annie Besant of the Theosophical Society in Madras. They believed him to be a vehicle for the next World Teacher.  But he eventually left that organisation, and travelled the World as an independant, giving talks to groups and individuals.  He claimed no allegiance to any religion, caste, nationality or philosophy.

He died at his home in Ojai, California, in 1986.

This is a book comprised of short discourses on various topics, as the title suggests, about 'Living.' based on notes that the Author made during his travels and teaching. Lots of wisdom and guidance to be found between these pages.

 Not an easy book to read, but a classic in the evolution of the ideas concerning the origins of life, and the reconciliation of Science and Religion.

Through the mists or Leaves From The Autobiography Of A Soul In Paradise -Recorded For The Author By ROBERT JAMES LEES

Hello Readers, here we have another book from the  recesses of my old bookcase.  This is one that has not seen the light of day for some years.  I actually have two copies of this.  One which I purchased years ago from somewhere; a second hand bookshop. 

This copy was left to me by Violet, a dear friend who died some years ago. It is in a rather poor state, but is signed by Eva Lees, the daughter of Robert J Lees, who calls himself 'the recorder' of the book, rather than the Author.

This is a 1952 reprint of the book, which was first published by Eva Lees 1898, who lived at 'Rodona', 54, Fosse Road South, Leicester, England.  It was printed 'In Great Britain By Halsey Brothers & Rist LTD., London, E.C.1
